Year 2 – Creating Mythical Beasts

In Year 2, this week we have been creating our own mythical beasts using papier mache and wire. The Year 2’s have created a Minotaur and a Chimera as part of their topic work.  


Painting in the Owls

This week the owls have been painting backgrounds for the Three Little Pigs story.


Jack and the Beanstalk

In Reception we have been looking at ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’, we have all planted our own bean. We have also been learning about 2D shape and symmetry. We made shapes with our bodies and painted symmetrical butterflies.


Gingerbread Men

In Reception we have been learning the story of “The Gingerbread man”. We have designed and made our own Gingerbread man and enjoyed eating them.


P.E – Ball Skills

In P.e we have been practising our ball skills.


Squirrels using Ipads

This week the Squirrels have been programming beebots using the ipads and exploring lots of other apps.


Robins Class Week beginning 4th January

The Robins class have begun their new topic – ‘Once Upon a Time.’ We read and wrote about the familiar traditional story, Jack and The Beanstalk. After that we read some other versions of the tale like ‘Jim and the Beanstalk’ by Raymond Briggs.  We also really enjoyed our first session of Forest Schools. A lovely sunny morning was spent exploring our outdoor environment
