Maths – Capacity.

The year 2 classes have been looking at capacity.We have been comparing the amount of a liquid we find in different containers and testing them to find out which held the most .


Wow writing!

Mrs King read the story of Goldilocks and the 3 bears to us on the carpet.We really enjoyed the story.During choosing time lots of tried really hard to write about the story,Miss Kent was so impressed!


Traditional Tales

We have started looking at our new topic,Forest and Woods by reading some traditional tales. We are enjoying our new role play area of the 3 bears’ cottage,dressing up like them.We have some character puppets that we have been playing with to act out different stories and do a show in the puppet theatre.


Rabbits Forest School – February

In Forest school this week the Rabbits have been searching for different plants and animals and looking for signs of Spring. We noticed that the pond is beginning to clear and that the daffodils are ready to flower,we also found some catkins. Later we had fun building a superhero den.


Real life Superheroes

This week we have been looking at real life superheroes,people who help us.We thought of so many people who help us;fire fighters,doctors,nurses,police officers,lifeguards and teachers.We had lots of fun dressing up and role playing as these people.


Fire Engine

We had a special visitor this week! The fire fighters came to visit us and brought the fire engine. We were so excited and had so much fun;sitting in the fire engine , spraying the hose and listening to them telling us fun facts. We even started to dress up like people who help us during choosing time!


Big Play

Woodpeckers had a fun afternoon playing with all the equipment outside.We had the basketball hoop and lots of us tried to get the ball in the hoop.We played catch with the balls and some of us tried to skip with the ropes too!We had so much fun!

New School Governor

School Council met one of our new school governors today, Mr Colin Green. They explained what the role of the school council is and how they came to be elected and represent their class. They told Mr Green about Safer Internet Day  and about what decisions they had helped to make about lunchtimes.


Road Safety

This week the Rabbits and Squirrels have been learning how to cross the road safely.
