Woodpecker Class Blog
We have loved the start of our new topic,Superheroes. We have enjoyed reading Supertato and making our own super veggies but we have to watch out for the evil pea capturing our super vegetables. We have been doing challenges to save the vegetables like writing our numbers, using tweezers ,making 3D shapes and making superhero capes.
Hedgehogs and Woodpeckers had a visit from a real life elf! We thought she looked a bit like Mrs King but we’re not sure…
This week we have had lots of fun doing Christmas activities! We decorated biscuits like melting snowmen, they were yummy! We did cutting and sticking to make our own Christmas hats to wear to our Christmas dinner too.
We have been learning lots of different positions in our Gymnastics PE lessons,on our own and with a partner.
Here are a selection of cast photos from out Nativity play . We hope you enjoyed the show!
We have been trying really hard to write CVC words on our own, sounding out each word and finding the letter to write.
This week we have been talking about longer and shorter. We have been measuring objects with cubes to see how long they are and cutting out to put items in size order.
We had our first forest school and had a lovely time outside collecting leaves, grass and different nature objects to make our crowns.Luckily, the sun was shining for us! We spoke about the different colours of leaves because it is autumn now.We had lots of fun running around exploring. 6
