Parents' Evenings

In addition to Parents' Evenings we also run courses from time to time to let you know about various aspects of the curriculum. These are advetised in our newsletters.

We provide two opportunities each school year when parents are invited to come in and talk to their child’s teacher. The first is usually towards the end of October or beginning of November. This enables staff to talk to parents about how their child has settled into school and parents can raise any concerns and ask questions. The second formal invitation to discuss children’s progress comes later in the year. Written reports are issued once a year. This is usually around Easter time for the children in Year 1 and at the end of the Summer term for children in Reception and Year 2.

Generally speaking the majority of children make steady progress, but please rest assured that if we have any serious concerns about your child we will ask you to come in as they arise and not wait until the next formal meeting. Similarly, if you are worried about your child’s behaviour or progress, please make an appointment to see your child’s teacher. We are always prepared to take time to discuss important matters with you.

We are also happy for your child to bring you in and show you around the classroom so that you can see what they have been doing, but please be aware that staff will not be available to discuss work at this time.
