Dropping Off and Picking Up

1. First and foremost, whenever possible, children should travel to and from school on foot or by bike.
2. Cyclists must dismount at the school gate. Cycling is forbidden on the school site.
3. Any parent or carer bringing or collecting a child by car should park in the Community Centre Car Park and walk through the gate to the playground. This is a traffic free route to the Infant and Junior Schools. This gate is kept locked during the school day and anyone visiting during that time should use the main entrance.
4. The school car park is closed to those dropping off and picking up at the start and end of the school day. The only exception is for disability badge holders who should display their badge clearly in their cars when using a disabled parking bay. 
5. In the interests of safety, parents/carers should not drop off or park in Towcester Road
6. Please do not inconvenience local residents by parking in Kingsthorpe Grove.
7. Parents/carers may opt to park a little further away from school and walk the remainder of the way.
8. Please remember dogs are not permitted on the school site.

Bringing children into school

1. Doors open at 8.40 and school starts promptly at 8.50.
2. Once children in Years 1 and 2 have settled into their classes in September we would appreciate it if you could say your goodbyes outside school.
3. If bringing children into school please do not go into the quiet rooms; there is not enough space.
4. Most children are capable of putting their own things away. Please help them to become independent.

Collecting children at home time

1. If anyone different is collecting your child or they are going home with a friend, please write this on the write on/wipe off boards which can be found in each teaching area. If your arrangements change during the day please telephone to let us know.
2. School finishes at 3.10 Monday to Thursday and at 1.35 on Fridays. Please be prompt when collecting your child. It can be upsetting for them to be the only one left all the others have gone.
3. We will only let your child out of the door when we can identify the adult collecting them.
