Dear Parents
Education City
I am pleased
to say that we have renewed our subscription to Education City, www.educationcity.com, so that your child(ren) can use these attractive educational activities in their own time. Staff may also, from time to
time, direct children to particular activities related to work they have been doing at school. This will appear under the
Homework button. If you do not have internet access at home and would like to use the school facilities to access Education
City, this can be arranged; just have a chat with your child’s teacher. To logon to Education City type in www.educationcity.com, select England (tiny button towards top left of page), type in pupil ID (not name) and the password.
Packed Lunches
Yoghurt is a healthy addition to any lunch box
and we are delighted that so many children enjoy it, but please, please send it to school in pot (with a spoon) rather than
a tube or plastic packet. The children find these difficult to open and so do the staff; we seem to end up with yoghurt all
over the place!
Earrings - Reminder
For safety reasons, the only earrings which should be
worn to school are studs. We have noticed recently that hoops and earrings with dangly bits are appearing. Very unpleasant
injuries can be caused if these are caught during play or gym lessons. Again, in the interests of safety, long hair should
be tied back for P.E. lessons.
Charities
Thank you for supporting the Royal British Legion and the appeal for funds to help prevent polio
in children. We will also be donating the collections from the Christmas plays to the polio fund. I will let you know the
total amount raised for both these worthy causes as soon as we have them.
Yours sincerely
