Diwali in Literacy

This week the year 2’s have been learning about Diwali. They have made colourful rangoli patterns using chalks,paint and glitter and have written some poems about Diwali in literacy.

Maths Competition

Also this week, some of Mrs Cleary’s maths group went to Grange Junior School to take part in a maths competition. Back in school the rest of the group played counting and addition games using dice.

Children In Need

Friday was Children In Need Day and the whole school dressed up as superheroes.

Dice Challenge

Frog and Toad Story

This week the Giraffes and the Fennec Foxes performed in their assembly based on what they had learned this term. They acted in a play based on the Frog and Toad story, ‘The Ice-cream’ , recited a poem about the pond and explained about the creatures that can be found in our pond habitat. Pond & the Garden

The Foxes have been really busy this week: First we visited the pond to see if we had successfully attracted any animals to the area. We saw a cat, several frogs and lots of insects.
