Year 2 Maths Cluster Morning

This week some of the Year 2 children got the chance to go over to the Junior school to work with children from other schools to take part in a maths morning. Colebrook Infants had a child in both of the winning teams!

As part of the schools Up in the air topic, the Monkeys have been creating papier mache balloons.

Year 2 Country Dancing

This week Mrs Hodkinson has been teaching the Year 2 children how to do country dancing. The children were grouped in pairs and followed a routine to music.

Year 2 @Bristol Trip

On Tuesday this week, the Year 2 children went on their school trip to @Bristol, the children had lots of fun all day, there was so much for them to explore! They were able to milk a cow, launch parachutes, create an animation and grind their own flour.

Bear’s Forest School

On Thursday afternoon the children participated in some outdoor learning. They all had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed their first forest school experience!

Year 2 Papier Mache Balloons

As part of our Up in the air topic, the Year 2’s are making papier mache balloons.

Year 2 Maths Capacity

Over this week Mr Hunt has taken groups of children outside to estimate and measure the capacity of different bottles and containers, then the children recorded the results and put them into a table.
