Making Soup

On Monday morning we made Carrot and Coriander Soup from the vegetables we grew and harvested at school. On Tuesday morning we made bread rolls to go with our soup. Some members of the School Council helped to show visitors around on the Open Day. They answered questions about the school and took their responsibilities seriously.

We have had a busy 6 weeks in the Robins Class.We started our term with some science activities. We made a cornflour goo and experimented with bubbles .We’ve learned lots about numbers. Wild Masks

The year 2’s have been looking at the book ‘ Where the Wild Things Are’. They have used leaves,twigs and other natural objects to create their own wild masks.

Safety Survey

The school council met with Mrs Hodkinson and Mrs Turner (the external safeguarding advisor). They discussed safeguarding in school and took part in a safety survey to inform the school safeguarding audit. Mrs Turner was very impressed with their knowledge and understanding and was complimentary about their speaking and listening skills.

Woodpeckers Forest School

We had our first forest school and had a lovely time outside collecting leaves,grass and different nature objects to make our crowns.Luckily,the sun was shining for us! We spoke about the different colours of leaves because it is autumn now.We had lots of fun running around exploring.  6
