The whole school enjoyed World Book Day today. We all came to school in our pyjamas and shared our favourite books with each other. In the afternoon we all had hot chocolate and a biscuit and listened to Mrs. Hodkinson’s favourite stories.
This week the Squirrels have been finding tadpoles in the pond and planting seeds that will grow into flowers and vegetables later this year.
This Friday in forest school the Squirrels had a wet, muddy fun time splashing in the puddles and looking in the pond. We found four frogs and saw that the frogs have layed lots of frogspawn. We also made a shelter to stop us from getting too wet and planted some aubergine, lettuce and tomato seeds.
The children had great fun celebrating World Book Day on Thursday by dressing up as book characters and sharing books in school with their friends. We had such great costumes in our class!
This week the Squirrels collected leaves to create a maze and used this to race each other in groups. They then planted onions.
This week the Squirrels did forest school and went on a hunt for as many different types of leaves as they could and then they made homes for animals using natural materials.
