The Year 1’s enjoyed a wonderful sunny day in Stanton woods. During the morning we learned about the special properties of a variety of plants.Then we collected plant and flower samples from a lovely meadow. On Thursday we visited Sudeley castle. We had a great day looking around the castle and grounds and finding out about the famous people who had lived there.
The Owls class did Still Life Paintings of Daffodils for their Easter cards.
On Tuesday the year 1’s went to Stanton Park . First we went for a woodland walk looking for different forest creatures. We found a woodpecker hole and looked at some beehives.Next we built some dens and climbed on some fallen trees. After lunch they went looking for fossils and made pictures using sticks and leaves that we had collected.We also toasted marshmallows over an
We have been solving subtraction problems using people and also counting back to find our answers.

In Owls class we have had fun learning about and making mince pies,though the best part was eating them! We also had a great time at forest school,collecting leaves to make a giant maze,then making a camp fire.
We have been experimenting with cornflour and water. It was surprising to see what happened! We enjoyed getting messy as well as learning about solids and liquids.
We enjoyed dressing up and collecting money for Pudsey on Friday.
