Working from home during school closure

Working from home during school closure

Monday 30th March

To ensure that learning continues during this uncertain time we will be allocating learning tasks to the children via their DB Primary account on a weekly basis. You should find their log-in details stapled in the back of their reading record book. Teachers will set tasks for them to maintain their learning while at home.

At the end of last week, we sent home extra reading books and Maths resources in children’s book bags.

Additionally we can recommend the following websites;

ICT games (www.ictgames.com.uk) This is a very good site for math and English activities.

BBC Bitesize (www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize) The primary aged site contains lots of activities in all subject areas.

For Maths, try https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/daily10

Oxford Owl (https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/welcome-back/for-home/reading-owl/kids-activities) This site contains free to access maths activities but there is also the opportunity to set up your own account to access e-books.

Every School (https://www.everyschool.co.uk/) This a website that contains a range pf activities for lots of curriculum areas.

Phonics play (https://www.phonicsplay.co.uk/) Contains a wealth of phonics games and activities

Go Noodle (https://family.gonoodle.com/) This is a site that the children are familiar with in school and contains loads of fun physical activities to complete at home.

The Blue Kite Academy Trust have set up an online learning platform which contains links and ideas https://thebluekitetrust.wixsite.com/ourlearningplatform

Please stay safe and take care
