Making Bread Rolls

In Year 1 we have been learning the story of The Little Red Hen. Today we had the exciting experience of making our own bread! We took turns to mix and knead the bread before tasting it this afternoon. It was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone with lots of the children asking for the recipe to make it at home. A visit from a local nurse

Our KS1 pupils have been learning about Mary Seacole and her important contribution to the world of nursing. The children were lucky enough to have a visit from one of the nurses at our local hospital, Mrs Porte.

They learned that some aspects of nursing have changed a lot over the years, whereas others have barely changed at all.
