What have we been learning in Term 6

This week we had a very exciting afternoon creating our own smoothies! The previous week the children selected their fruits and drew up their plans, we then worked together to cut and peel all of the different fruits before blending them up into our smoothies. The children had lots of fun practicing their cutting skills and watching the fruits get mixed together. We then tasted our smoothies and voted for our favourites. 

In Forest School we have been having lots of fun observing seasonal changes and enjoying our school grounds. We did some observational drawings of the flowers and trees around our garden area. We then took a closer look at the trees to identify them and name the different parts. We also did some pond dipping to see how our tadpoles have been growing and found that some now have 4 legs!

In maths we have started learning about money. We have been looking at the properties of different coins and have sorted them into groups.
