What have we been learning? Term 6

G5 Evolution Martial Arts came and visited our school. They taught us how to count to 5 in Japanese and we practised some karate moves. 

In English, we have been writing Haiku's. We learnt that they are traditional Japanese poems that consist of three lines and a syllable pattern of 5-7-5. We clapped along to spoken words to count the syllables and we loved making lots of noise! 

Swindon Town Football Club came into school and taught us some football skills. 

In Forest School, we went on the hunt for some leaves. We looked carefully at them and we noticed that they all have veins. The veins make interesting patterns on the leaf. Some patterns were wiggly and others looked a little bit like arrows! 

We used our observations of colour, shape, size and pattern to create fantastic drawings.
